About Lo
As a child growing up in Los Angeles, California, Lo loved to watch her mother cook in the kitchen. By the time she was ten years old, she was helping her mother prepare dinner for the family. Even at such a young age, it was clear that she had a special passion for cooking. The early years spent as her mother’s little assistant laid the seed for her dream to become a chef.

here's me in kindergarten. i was a rugrat who didn't know i'd grow up to be obsessed with food and fashion. xoox.
Lo attended the University of California Los Angeles where she majored in English Literature. But soon after graduation, she decided to follow her heart and pursue a career in the culinary arts. She enrolled at the California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, specializing in both Cuisine and Pastry. She finished at the top of her class with a degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts.
With the world-class culinary education setting the foundation for her cooking, Lo sought out a variety of different work environments to further hone her skills. Over the next several years, she worked in such establishments as French 75, Noe, Wolfgang Puck Catering Company, and The Beverly Hills Hotel. She was also appointed Pastry Chef at Oceans 33. During these years, she had the opportunity to work closely with talented Executive Chefs like Glen Ishii and Scott Thomas Dolbee. But she never lost sight of her career goal – to be the creative leader in her own kitchen.
In 2003, Lo took a step towards her dream and founded skyLos Catering. Catering events gave her the freedom to create menus inspired by her client’s needs. Since its establishment, skyLos Catering has served hundreds of clients in a variety of settings, from intimate family dinners to corporate meetings to large company holiday parties. Many of her clients become repeat customers, a testament to the amazing creative cuisines and the excellent professional service provided by Lo and her staff.
Lo currently resides in Los Angeles. She hopes one day to open up her own restaurant, but in the meantime, she enjoys the challenges that each catering event brings her and the gratification she gets from satisfied clients. And of course, when she’s not working, she still enjoys treating her husband, friends, and family to a nice home-cooked meal.
